Vision Statement: The Kendrick-Juliaetta Arts Commission is a volunteer, non-profit organization of your neighbors and friends who feel strongly that the arts in their various forms and functions are a vital part of building a better community. Mission Statement: Our Commission's mission is to strengthen the sense of community through promotion and enhancement of the arts in the Kendrick and Juliaetta area. Established: In 1990 the Kendrick-Juliaetta Arts Committee was established as a subcommittee of the Kendrick-Juliaetta Community Development Association. At the September 24, 2007 the membership voted to change our name to the Kendrick-Juliaetta Arts Commission to better reflect our intention of being a permanent entity in our community. About the Commission: One does not have to be an artist to participate and no dues are charged. We welcome people of all ages to join our efforts toward making art happen in our community. Positive creative input and energy is sought both at our meetings and during the participation in the selected projects that one chooses to be involved. The upcoming year's project undertakings are determined in October. We welcome other community organizations co-sponsoring events with us. Finances are acquired through members writing grants, Historical DVD Tramway Sales, donations, and project profits. As a subcommittee under the Kendrick-Juliaetta Community Development Association we share their 501 (c) (4) nonprofit status. Meeting: 3:30 pm the fourth Monday on the month at the Kendrick High School Library. At the conclusion of the business meeting a light meal will be available and then "fun time" in the Art Room will be available to Commission members to be creative in any manner of your choosing.
